Workshops

Every year we invite a diverse group of scholars and practicioners from within and outside our community to share their knowledge through short informal workshops. Sometimes it's just nice to see something in action rather than reading about it.

Workshops will be announced as they are scheduled on the website, please let us know if you have skills you would like to share, or if there are topics you would like see presented.

Here is our calendar of workshops from 2009 as a sample of what we have offered in the past.  Most of our workshops will involve instructors from across the city using our facilities and materials to demonstrate an “approachable technology”. We will also be working with Mill Creek Farm, Sloan Street Community Garden, the People's Emergency Center, and other community organizations to create on-site installations. Check back often for an updated calendar.

Location will be at the Preston’s Paradise demonstration site (839 N. Preston St.) unless otherwise noted. Some workshops have a limited number of spaces available. If you would like to attend any of the offered classes, please email info@prestonsparadise.org for availability.

All workshops will be offered free or sliding scale with no one turned away.
